Miyagi prefecture where I live has Zunda taste made of soybeans. Zunda is not only mochi but also used for kitkat, sparkling juice, ice cream, shakes. Since a new year is approaching, pound mochi events will be held in some tourist places. As far as I know, it will be held in Sairi yashiki which is located in Marumori city on December 22, Am 10:00. If you live around Sendai, why don't you try to go there? Fresh mochi is so delicious, come try it.
