I understand her insistence. I sometimes feel that accent is important when I talk to foreigners. For instance, the accent of Twitter. The accent is completely different between Japanese and native speakers. There is plenty of KATAKANA English in Japan. Those words prevent Japanese English learners who want to get speak English fluently. The other day, Japanese government announced a travel campaign which was named "Go to travel". It is completely wrong grammar. Normally, it is " Go on a trip". I guess the government wanted to say like "Let's travel". I don't know actually but in Japan, KATAKANA English is always like that. We often see such wrong words around our lives. I think the government must stop making stupid Katakana English for Japanese English learners.
